Looks great! I like the mix of settings (woodland path, cavernous camp). As others have noted, the MBA bridge across the river demonstrates how great multi-level setups work with DF.

Cool layout Rodenbach. 8-) 8-)
I've seen this module done with the MBA bridge a few times now, we should see it with the DF bridge soon. ;)

Love this build! Brings back fond memories. My friends and I also started our DnD lives with this adventure and the campaign is still going strong. It's a really good intro to the game. Wish I could rewind time and start with all the dwarvenforge I've collected along the way.

Also, that forest encounter makes me unreasonably excited for the possibilities of Wildlands (and Dreadhollow as a teaser). Really well done.

I like the mixing of the different sets of DF tiles, gives the whole complex a more varied look and avoids mass amounts of sameness. Nice job on the set ups.

This adventure is my first one where I realized how great DF products could be. The bridge over the river couldn't be done well on paper or with cardboard tiles (which is what I was using). Looks great!

Lost Mine of Phandelver: Cragmaw hideout

Post by Rodenbach » Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:02 pm

With my friends, we have decided to try D&D 5e. But we wanted to go 5e softly, so we wanted to try the adventure of the Starter Set : the Lost Mine of Phandelver.
So here is the setup of our first adventure : the Cragmaw Hideout, where the party have to fight against goblin thiefs in a hidden cavern. I like this 3 level setups where you can cross ways on different levels.

The first encounter was an ambush in the woords :

Following the traces of the goblins into the woods leads to the cave.

This first episode of this adventure was very nice, full of little details that makes you live a great adventure. The Lost Mine of Phandelver is really a good adventure.
