My very own expansion set for MBS, including roof

Oops, I can't take pictures. I just traded all the roof pieces. It will take a while since I can rebuild them all and take pictures, especially since all my time is invested in another project for now. Sorry.

The wodden overhang/support piece is more useful than I originally thought. I will try to send some pictures soon.

crioux,

Said it before, and I'll say it again; your DF complementary designs are EXCELLENT!
It would be well worth getting you to make a set of molds of your finished pieces and them use the molds to cast resin. Even if I only made ONE SET in resin, it would be as durable as DF, and if I ever DID manage to destroy a piece, I could recast it! The only problem would be, how many of your pieces would need multi-part molds - which can be a whirling b***h to make. I know - I've made ONE, which was hard enough, thank-you-very-much! By multipart, I mean three or more pieces. Real fun job, but it can be done.

Oh well - we can all dream, can't we? And anyway, I can STILL COMPLIMENT YOU on some beautiful work!

Wonderful stuff! I really like the overhang piece - very clever.

Bravo!

Really nicely done. The same basing/bridging method is also ideally suited to stacked dungeon environments.

Cheers

I don't plan to, but maybe Stefan will get some of these ideas for the next MBS expansion.

But some of them are harder to manufacture, so DF will probably never make them. In the meantime, if you are minimally good with your hands, you can try to make your own. I use Hirst Art, I find it a marvelous complement to DF. Everything I want for DF that doesn't (yet) exist, I can make with HA. The molds are a bit costly, and you have to get a strong plaster too, and yes it takes a LOT of time to make and paint, but I think it is still worth it.

But don't get me wrong. HA cannot replace DF. It would take forever to duplicate DF with HA, and the pieces would never be as durable and beautiful as DF. HA is great for single projects, or as I do as a complement to DF.
