Btw, after having a good look at it on my laptop (all zoomed in) I have to say that this is my new favourite mini of yours simply because of the sheer insanity of that detail!

You're right. I realized my mistake after looking at it on my laptop... I've only had access to the site through my phone for a week while I was diagnosing my broken computer, retrieving files from a corrupted hard drive and finally reinstalling everything on a new drive... Suffice it to say it looks like Photobucket dishes up pretty low res images on mobile devices, even when zooming in so I couldn't really see any detail. With the huge height on that image strip I originally thought it was just too large for photobucket so the best that could be uploaded was a low resolution version... which I now know not to be the case. :-)

Holy crap...

That may very well be the best paint I have ever seen on a mini. I zoomed in like you said, and there are so many aspects of this mini that are incredibly well painted. The area that I wanted to point out (it impressed me enough that I showed my wife) is the blue in the robe. I think the best way that I can describe it is Pointilism on a mini.

"Sorry to say, but he beat you." <-- comment from wife.

Well done, Sorn. My compliments to the artist.

Don't let my wife see Naraa. She will want one for Aurora! Great pics as always. Would like to see the Ogres with the bases completed then sometime.

Wow. Sorn, your stuff continues to dazzle and amaze us all. That Enigma sorcerer is top notch! The freehand work on the robes and the book are incredible. I've said it before, but by all means, keep posting these pics!

That is insane busy. What a battle! Very cool. Would like better pics of Nakatan's Sorc. From the tiny pics I couldn't tell much, but I see that the book is well done.

@Runeweaver Thanks. Good observations.

Here's Nakatan's Sorcerer. He took a long time to paint it, but his skills are incredible.

She has to be an eladrin. The eyes and the shape of the axes just scream that.

The bolts in the armor are amazingly detailed. Each "rivet" looks slightly aged, not rusted, just aged. The armor is deceptively well detailed. There has to be about 7-10 different hues of color just on the basic armor. I counted 6 just at a glance, and the armor isn't what stands out on this mini. To me what I love most about this mini are the axes. Fey axes look just fantastic. They have a chiseled look to their sharpness which I think looks just awesome.

IMO The cloak is a little blasé, but it works. The axes and the armor make this model.

Always a treat to see them, Sorn. Thx.
