I had a display table set up with a pile of my Dwarven Forge terrain and pieces from other miniature companies. This is my 2nd year putting out the display at ThunderCon, which itself has only been going for 3 years. I very much enjoy talking to people, seeing their amazement, and most importantly, letting all the kids play with it. A couple of times parents said to me, "Oh, I see your sign! All the other displays say 'do not touch', but yours is the only one that says you can touch. I like that." ... me too. ;-)

Anyways, here's some pics from the table setup:

How did you paint your ice caverns? They look great!
I used the Pokorny Bubbles Blue on the bottom (underside of the tiles). I just sloppily painted it on and used a paper towel to slightly wipe away paint in spots so that the paint job wouldn't look too uniform through the material. It's actually a very simple paint job that anyone could do it.

But, more importantly, I had used a bunch of caverns with some TerraTiles to set up the first part of the D&D 5e boxed set module, The Lost Mines of Phandelver. We had a 7pm to 10pm block to play in and due to a late running event before us, then them having to change the tables around, plus the intro for everyone new to the game, it gave us only about 2 hours to play. We only managed to get to the beginning of the Cragmaw Goblin cave. Here it is (sorry about the blurriness for the individual cave "rooms". I was taking those pictures quickly as reference as I took them apart, but will need to recreate in the future.

This picture was taken at the game table. It's the entrance to the Cragmaw Goblins' cave and the first "room" with the goblins' wolves chained up. I really liked how it came out with the use of the TerraTiles mixed with DF caverns and Erinthor mountains, and Elye's cave entrance. I used some of my TerraTiles earlier to set up the ambush scene on the road.

I don't think he's really aiming for the corner piece on the edge of the table. Nate should understand camera tricks with angles and subject distance and depth. I would bet he just knew he could make the near miss look like a direct hit. Fun picture anyway. 8-)
He definitely hits it, whether he is aiming for it is a different matter :)
It just a more controlled swing than his face implies ;)

Was a lot of fun capturing just the right image - you really need the sound effects to do it justice.

I can only imagine Stefan, Nate, and Dan's horror if Nate had missed and put a big ding in the table.
you think it only took 1 take ?

I think the other side of the table may have some big dings ;)
That's no way to talk about the camera operators! ;)
The cameras can be awfully heavy - also a distinct lack of pies down the bakery district.

Nate activates barbarian rage and attacks, and Stefan remains stoic while channeling Dwarvenite invulnerability to non-magical weapons.

Best thing about dwarvenite, indestructible!
