Nice Maw on that goremaw!!!!

It really is a fine Reaper bones model, unfortunately they are having packaging problems with it so no retail yet. Maybe later this year.

I also like the added colors and layers, as that is how I paint my stuff. One after the other till it looks good.

A few pics of my paint job on this guy below.

Character #2 - The Worms (Really it's just one, but sure wish I had a few more.) -

There will be a noticeable actor change in the forthcoming pictures. I worked on this guy today and now wish I had waited to do the other pictures (not posted yet) in the story. Maybe I'll just redo them and then post later.

Anyway, hows this Ancient Worm looking so far. I still need to do some more with his skin and talons/claws/teeth... Unless the dark grey works for you all. :?:

Huh. I had no idea how well the catacombs could be used as outdoor scenery. I'll have to try that!
Zie ginds komt de stoomboot
Uit Spanje weer aan.
Hij brengt ons Sint Nikolaas,
Ik zie hem al staan.
Hoe huppelt zijn paardje
Het dek op en neer!
Hoe waaiend de wimpels
Al heen en al weer!

I found my group on meetup.com; you should see if there are any local gamers looking for a game to play in!

Gilbrith awoke to a clear dark sky with plenty of stars. Glancing around to get his bearings he heard a noise back the way of the building. Turning to look it felt as if his head was swimming in molasses. Steadying himself, he looked up to see various points of light streaming out of cracks in the buildings foundation. He double shook his head trying to clear his vision thinking 'Why are there lights below the building and nothing inside it?'. About 50 feet from him was a fairly large hole under the edge of the building. He decides to investigate, but remembers the noise he heard so he moves very quietly and slowly as to be sure of each step he was taking. Even though it was night time the start and moon were putting off enough light to get to the opening. He moves into the break in the foundation he it leads to an entryway to a basement or something. The building style is very different from above. He then hears a sound similar to a moan or distant wail which freaks him out. Unsure of what he should do he decides to wait till morning and head back home for help from friends or townsfolk. But, before he lays down to sleep he goes inside for a quick peek into the lighted area. Thinking he was just going to see some basement support structure under the building what he saw under there frightened him enough he left the area immediately.

What you see in these pictures is what Gilbrith would have seen if the idea of a catacomb under a temple didn't scare him away.

TAWotFR = The Ancient Worms of the Forgotten Realm -

Character #1 - Gilbrith - The elderly sheppard -
.

On a fair day a few months back, Gilbrith an elderly sheppard was chasing down one of his flock when he cleared a small hillock and stumbled into a dried out gully that was formed out of some strange column-like rock formations. After picking himself up out of the gully he noticed an old structure on a bluff just past the rock formations. Suddenly awe struck by the building's beauty and intricacy he completely forgot about his missing sheep. Making his way around the building he found a door that appeared as if it were a way into the building. Gilbrith slowly opened the doors to a hallway leading to a dead end about 30 feet down. Not seeing anyway to proceed he became frustrated he moves around the building to look for another way inside.

Gilbrith never makes it inside the building. But if he had, all he would have found was a dozen or so rats and a fairly untouched temple with no other signs of recent life.

The day was getting later and he remembered his sheep and gave up his search for a way inside. He turned and headed back the way the sheep had headed off, but as he stepped on a stone crossing the gully again he falls and hits his head on a rock column.

If that were the case, you would be seeing the cliffs of Santorini. ;)
