Coolness.

I need to get my ROTA out and dusted off. Planning to make it "semi-submerged" in jungle overgrowth for some Frostgrave Ghost Archipelago and Lost Colossus skirmish gaming.

ROTA theme is special in the amount if details in the sculpting. I am missing the special entrance and the treasure bits, but have everything else.

Something stirred these monstrosities from the deep, how will we survive this devastation?
There'll be nothing left, ................

I really hope you are carefully picking up and placing each piece down. Knocking stuff over is for dwarvenite only!!!!!
A few strategic breaks here (oops) and there (oh damn) work great for ruins.

Just messin', every piece has been meticulously placed for effect.
I wish I could do this (build, photo, crop, post) faster...,
I can't wait to show you what these worms have done to the place, it's a beautiful mess. ;)

First RotA Sets and Teaser of TAWotFR

Post by William » Sat Apr 07, 2018 3:30 am

Post 2018, it was going to be on 2000 (Minotaur Lord), but shipping timing didn't work out and I had to post (part of this addiction) while I was waiting on the sets. But, no biggie. ;) I love these sets, :o :D  only wish I had a half a dozen more #1's a maybe a few more of the second set too. I've seen the accessory treasure pack on eBay recently, but that's going for twice it's original price these days. Wish I would have gotten one when they were in the store a few years ago. The gold bar stacks and blue amphora jars are awesome. It would be cool if they did a comparable KS in dwarvenite to go with these in the future. I think the marble from this last one might be O.K., but it's fairly different in style.

Anyway, blah, blah, blah on with some pictures...

Here is the one #1 and two #2's I bought a month ago. Yes, it took 28 days to get here. We're talking slow-boat...

The detail in the floors blows my mind. I wanna know how they were painted too, seems like a smooth brown polish on the tiles and rough tan grout in between, very kewel as some would say.

Here was the first thing I assembled out of the box after seeing that Feymous layout I had to try something similar.
