Caverns are something we don't have, in fact still don't have dungeons.

As usual a quality build, but the reason for this post, apart from just gratuitously boosting our numbers, is because we think these are some of your best POV mood shots.

They really convey dark, damp and cramped ......nice :)

Very nice Law, although I don't have an issue using any of my DF together. I have to, can't afford any of the newer stuff!

The lava pit is from the DoD floor traps add-on. Love it!
Making me want the Hole & Lid from this KS My pledge doesn't have one - nor a clear path to get one (read low cost at this stage) $51 for a floor pack seems overkill

Maybe a miracle will happen and one will end up an SG in something i am already buying ;)

Wonderful shots! I love those chunky resin passage intersections. They have so much character. Seeing this just reinforces my KS6 pledge. Lots of big beefy pieces that will work nicely with my Cavernous River and Walls, Passages, and lakes. KS2 was great and I like the pieces but it lacked the big brute sculpts like you see in these pics.
Now, what did you use to frame the lava? Is that a piece from Castles??
Love the big chunky resin caverns. Wish there were more in KS6, but I'm grabbing all the ones I can.

Very nice cavern, or should I say it's very doomy?
Love the close ups that view under the natural into the lighted man made areas. Sweet. :)

Last ones. Added a lava square, because -- lava.

Also, I kinda like the idea of using the large DoD arch piece to suggest there was a grand dungeon entrance here, which the dwarves walled up . . . .

Caverns of Doom

Post by Law » Sat Aug 11, 2018 9:49 am

Ended up NOT being what KS6 was called, but I didn't want a good name to go to waste. ;)

I really like how these came out. I said elsewhere I'm not wild about combining resin and KS2 caverns, but I do think that combining DoD and resin caverns has yielded some truly awesome stuff. (And, fine, I confess, mainly I was just really in the mood to put LED torches in a cavern now.. hard to explain why, really... hm...)

If nothing else, KS6 has prompted me to take out my old caverns and admire them again!

Minor variation in the layout, I moved the large stalagmite column. In some of the detail pics, I swapped around the location of the torch v. the Temple wall, too.
