Deeeeep breaths ......

We use Flickr to upload our pictures which can then form albums and be tagged for cross reference.
This allows us to easily review old photos and link to this forum or just give the link.

As like you, we end up with a shed load of photos, we take every one twice and then parse through them in Dropbox and select those we like to go into a Flickr Album.

We don't get rid of the originals but always have easier to share albums.
We only use it for hobby related pictures, so browsers wont mistakenly see any dodgy selfies down the pub!

The implications of this are staggering. I just took 1,086 photos of a single DoD layout. Can you IMAGINE what I'd do with this many possibilities?!?

I mean - just KS3 alone!

- Single "cube"-based Tudor cottage with roof and chimney.

- Comfy cottage made with two Tudor squares next to each other, and one on top, on one side. Gables, maybe a balcony.

- Larger country house, many Ks3 cubes at work, mix of stone on the bottom and Tudor on top.

- mid-sized Ks3 stone church, with KS4 cathedral roof.

- simple single-square KS3 stone cottage

And this is assuming a somewhat fixed forest backdrop for all this. What about putting these things next to ponds or on top of rises with the escarpments or on the banks of a river....

Oy. I'm.... I'm gonna have to sit down. Breathe into a paper bag.

though with a few bushes and vines it would make a nice abandoned temple in the middle of say a forest!
Omg that's brilliant!

I'm gonna have to start keeping track of the things I want to put in the forest.

Things leading to cave mouth:
DoE
Hellscape/lava pool
Catacombs
Dungeon
ROTA

Things just in the middle of the forest:
Dungeon ruins - DoD or resin
ROTA ruins
Cottage - either KS3 or MBS with KS3 roof
Jade temple
Small KS4 tower
Large KS4 tower

Having seen this build, we would concur that standard merges better with DoD.

We see the standard as being a sinister underground temple of forbidden worship.

The Jade as more part of a mainstream culture and lends itself to more overground temple builds as it is not frightened to announce itself. though with a few bushes and vines it would make a nice abandoned temple in the middle of say a forest!

Quite pleased that we think this as that is why we pledged for the Jade temple :)

I think it's a great question - it's been driving me nuts!

I really like both - that's the short and not helpful answer. I'm thrilled to have both and I'd be disappointed to have missed out on either.

That said - while jade looks amazing and is super cool (and kind of other-worldly), I think I vaguely prefer the regular version. For two reasons:

1) While I like both versions of SOME elements - the big shrine and idol, the basic walls and corners - in the case of other elements, like the long wall and braziers and the pit and altar, I prefer the regular version. So for the temple as a whole, the full set, I guess I have to say I prefer the regular just on the numbers.

2) While the jade looks amazing, I don't think it integrates with DoD very well. It can be a standalone room within a larger DoD, but the jade elements can't be used in the same room as regular DoD elements IMO. While with the regular version, sure, place DoD walls next to Temple walls, it looks fine. So for the flexibility of having pieces I can intermix freely, the regular wins out. Jade walls just look odd to me, having one jade wall next to a regular DoD wall.

This may be a dumb question, but which do you like better as I see you have both, the standard Shrine colors or the jade?

This was a hastily slapped-together layout, but I really like it anyway. Just got my regular Temple stuff, at least the Pit and the Inner Sanctum. Wow, this stuff is cool.
