So many great pictures! Thanks for starting the thread GardenDM. Love the courtyard cottage and mixing woodlands with caverns and free-standing foliage.

Woodlands was the first set of DF I ever purchased (it was all that was in stock when I discovered DF) and it is still one of my favorites. I'm constantly looking for reasons to use it in any setup... Ruined RotA temple, looks even better with Woodlands overgrowth. City builder estate, why not add a Woodlands hedge maze. Not to mention that the elves, fey, and other forest themed miniatures in my collection will never want for lush Woodlands homes :D

This is my personal favorite among my Woodlands setups: Siege of the Sacred Spring

Woodlands is a beautiful set and plays well with the resin caverns. (Something I learned from Law and Feymous). Here’s something I did a while back, similar to realarete’s setup.

wow- killer build. I may copy it...have a place for it in current adventure of one of my groups! Hope it isn't patented...thanks for sharing, Arcarius!

I'm getting two bramble packs - I definitely have uses for the thorn walls.
Among other things, they can help with transitions from forests to other sets (say Erinthor, for example).
it's not an expansive pack, either (unpainted $16)

I am interested in the thorn stuff for the bunnie.....

I was a bit iffy on the bramble pack myself as it did not really look great in the pictures from the campaign. I later thought that it would look really good making a cavern more green or to enhance cities. Tons of those 2 inch wide fillers in KSVI. They should be super useful.

Great use of woodland with CBS Oldent :)

Whilst we are huge fans of KSVI Thorn walls :)
We actually think the Thorn Patch will be a sleeper hit, they add something that is very difficult to find anywhere and that is undergrowth.

They can be used almost anywhere:
Under trees to make impassable or broken terrain,
Included in Castle or Cities to show little use
Or even better in Castle or CBS ruins.

We already have two sets of these in our pledge, might have convinced ourselves to get another.......

Yeah we like the fairy circles too, which again can be used anywhere :)

@Oldent - Ooooh, really excellent use of Woodlands as a highlight. I'm stealing this for sure. :)
I pledged for the hedges/brambles and briar patch for this reason too. I really like the fairy circle a lot.
At some point I may try to pick up the hedges so I can make a hedge maze. But it was too low priority for me now, when I’m trying to pick up as much as I can of pieces I’ll use more often.

Yeah, using Woodlands with CBS never really occurred to me either - they look fantastic as accents/hedges!
I'll always include them from here on.
Excellent photos, Oldent!
Thanks

I like the city streets too.
