Pacarat , the jungle looks very nice. Do I see some painted Teddy Bear fur used as grass? Very Cool!
Thanks.

Yes, tan tbf cut into random sizes/shapes, then washed with very thin green acrylic paint.

These were a rush job a few years back when I was preparing for my Mammoth Hunt game at Historicon. Ran out of time due to unexpected work travel so just slapped these together, so to speak.

They do give a nice effect...

I really need to get the airbrush out and do some more.

Some really cool stuff here :)

Once we stopped shivering from seeing Oldents jar dimension.
Immense respect to those that craft their own.

Oldent puts us to shame with his 'just do this' attitude and a plethora of pictures showing his fabulous results.

There are many reason why we cant 'just do this' but love to see someone who can and maybe inspire us to 'just try it' sometime in the future.
I have finally reached the age where I am going to have to start paying other people to do what I would not have thought twice about doing myself.
I enjoy crafting and do not have to get too far from my heating pad.I game at the store so that gives me room to work at home.

Start with this:

Image

Cut into tree and branch sized pieces, then pin and glue branches at different angles, since original mold is very flat.

Base and finish. I use these as winter or dead trees.

I have some of the bamboo I have not used yet
I was fairly happy with the style of bamboo I bought couple years back - looks like samples in your link. I did have an issue with many of the trees - the plastic coating was so thin on the trunks that it had split and the metal wire stuck out. They sent me a second batch to compensate.

I hot glued them in bunches to round wood bases, and trimmed a few to get varying heights.

I wish the craft shops here in Japan had stuff like that. I will check and maybe I can get a few gems too.
PM me your snail mail address and I will send you some raw materials.
