I want to see a pack of wedges for sale in the store (at least for dungeon since the cavern ones wound up a bit too small for some reason). They are so handy. Maybe I don't like building squares and rectangles all the time.

I do not use my wedge pieces near enough in my builds, cavern or dungeon.
Because you don't like them? Or because you forget to use them?

I agree with Kitenerd. Here's an example in a setup I recently used for a game on using the wedges to change the angle of a cavern (without using the narrow passages).

While personally i would prefer more of the "plainer" walls - you WANT those diagonal wedges - you want LOTS of those diagonal wedges!!!!

get 2 varied - you will be happy you did!

With your budget i would go for MORE basics and save floors and chasms for later (floors are easy to fake in a pinch)

Assuming painted i would go:

Basic, Varied, Assortment for $240 (this gets you some fun pieces to play with)

Basic, Varied, Varied for $250 (better coverage with less funky bits)

Varied gives you twice the walls, floors and corners of Assortment... and that is really what you need - it is easy to get seduced by an archway or a mine door, but walls corners and floors are what you need!
Thanks!! I was looking at Basic, Basic, Varied or Basic, Varied, Varied. It's so hard to decide!

I only want to spend around $250 so I can spend more on KS5 during the pledge manager.
With that said, I know I'm doing the Basic Cavern Set and the Varied Walls & Floors. Since everyone has more experience with this than I so far, doe the Floor pack or the Assortment make more sense? I feel like I need more floor but have no idea. Haha

If you are just starting out and on a budget... i would consider a chasm pack and an extra set of cavern tiles instead of the water. With Chasm (and the ledges from DoD) you can do water as negative space and get a LOT more surface area. One water set will just leave you wanting more, but one chasm set goes a long way...

Definitely focus on Basic, Varied and Assortment as those three contain the things you'll run out of first ;)
I was thinking the same thing. 8-)

A cheap temporary water solution with negative space can be done like this-
