Dr. McCoy: "As near as I can tell, Jim, this glitter is born pregnant."
All said with that one. I think there is nothing left to say, now. Topic closed. Love the quote!

On a positive note : I now use Dwarven Forge as an excuse for glitter being found, which covers nicely for those Vegas trips ....

Yeah I found glitter in some of my KS6 sets. I used a hobby brush to wipe them clean. So far it's all come off. The worst I found was some resin sets I got that had glitter that was in the resin! That didn't come out, but DF was cool and swapped out the pieces for me.
There is metal mixed in the resin DF uses. They use it to make the pieces heftier. I broke a sci-fi set wall once and noticed it had shiny bits in it, and then not long after someone here on the forums noticed the old resin barrels are ferrous and a magnet will pick them up. Stefan said they added the iron inside the resin on purpose to make the pieces feel like they have more oomph.
Ahhhh.... that might have been it, maybe a bad mix/batch with too much metal added!

Do you know where your DF pieces have been and what they have been doing?

I laughed when I received some KS6 pieces with glitter. That stuff never goes!
