Ha, must be universal, my three year-old does the same thing. She doesn't seem to notice or care if the walls are serving as the floor. But she likes to make "Halloweentown" out of the GT pieces.

This must be a kid thing - my 2 and 7 year old do the same thing, they don't seem to care if walls are on their side or not.

Yes, my mother was with him...and he kept her in my game room for 5 hours (read: the entire time I was gone...) building layouts and fighting mini's...

Thank you for sharing. =)

My 2 year old also loves playing with the Tiles.

Do I understand correctly that you leave your 2 year old home playing with Tiles while you go out to the movies? =)

I can't imagine doing that... please tell me there is a grandmother or something somewhere in the mix.

But after looking at his layout... he has inspired a new idea... off to the testing site I go.

Ashur the Red - 60 hours of building time invested

So, I thought I would drop you guys a note. My cousin bought a slew of DF during the kickstarter, and brought it over to my house for me to see/play with.

He left it here (we play D&D at my house typically) and my 2 year old son has invested somewhere between 60 and 80 hours into "playing castles" in the last 10 days. He plays with them for between 4 and 10 hours per day. He has even made my mother sit with him for 5 straight hours while he builds different layouts, puts in mini's and fights them to the death (yes, he actually lays them down and says, "he's died.", while my wife and I dipped out for dinner and a movie.

His building has gotten significantly better. He actually builds distinct spaces now...and he has taught me that orientation is less important...sometimes you need brick floors and stone walls!

I've included a couple of pictures of him and his creations...looks like I will be a backer come February. :-)
