VERY cool idea! This DEFINITELY can be adapted to almost all of the sets in future expansions like dndgamer said. Windows for the indor sets (dungeon and MB sets), "holes" in cavern sets and hellscape.

Any number of things could be useful to include as insets- spiderwebs, mirror/shattered mirror, arcane portal, fire, water, ice, poison/acid, a painting with two sides- one normal, one "possessed." The possibilities are practically endless. Maybe even blank ones you could add your own art to.

I agree, this is a wonderful idea. I would love to have pieces with inserts to make them usable as mirrors, spider webs, windows, doors, ect! Very nice for making many different set-ups.

JackAttack,

That's one of the BEST IDEAS I've read on this forum in years. It gives the most versatility of a piece which can be duplicated for any set!

I'd give you a FREE set if I were Steve..... :)

Gothic Insert Piece

How about a piece similar to the Raisable Portcullis in Wicked Additions, but sculpted to match the Gothic Window?

I see the possibility for multiple inserts. One might be a silver mirror on one side, and a shattered mirror on the other. One might be tapestry on both sides. One might have a stained glass motif. One might be clear colored plastic to represent a magical force field. One might be a spider's web. One might be a steel shutter or on iron grate.

The inserts might also fit in the original portcullis piece.

I'm thinking two in a future WA set, or three in a Fantasy Doors set.

Thoughts? Drawbacks? Additional insert ideas?
