Poll: New settings, or expansions for old?

Post by Wereweasel » Sun Sep 06, 2009 9:38 pm

Harneloot,

Good point! I forgot to mention the MBS, (see below).

Although I have not collected any of the ROTA or the DoE sets, I do have a number of the original MB sets at the present time.

I actually have five of the original MB sets although I am intending to downsize that to only two sets -if/when I can arrange something locally for the other three (yet unused) MBS in the near future.

I have found that although I like the MBS (for representing immediate buildings) I have since moved in a different direction for representing outlying buildings. As a result I don't require the use of so many of the same set.

It would also free up thee more sets under my "cap" room. =)

Thanks

WW

It was decided shortly after I decided to collect Sci-Fi terrain in addition to the MM and Cavern lines. Those smaller Sci-fi sets really added up quickly.

If it wasn't for that, I'd be at 52 sets. Which isn't that bad -is it? ;)

Is there a reason for the cap of 80 sets?

How much the wife will take before moving out :O
Mine hates that I save empty boxes from expensive things I buy. I say what if I want to sell them someday, but we both know I never will.

... before my terrain buying days are over, (in the not-so-distant future).

Sorry to hear!

It's not at all that bad really, I just have a cap (of 80 sets) and after September I'll be up to 77.

I'll then start into customizing some of the sets that I've already got to furnish what I'll still need.
Is there a reason for the cap of 80 sets? (Just curious! And feel free to tell me to bug off! 8-)

Finding myself doing a lot more contemporary gaming currently. So, I'd possibly like to see addition to the sci fi line. But, rather than hard sci fi with raw mettalic walls and floors, how about a softer look.....one that can be used as starship interiors or contemporary building interiors?

What I would most like to see is a lava cavern set and an ice cavern set.

I would also like to see an air elemental type set with like cloud walkways.
And again I would like to see an oriental set, and an arabian knights type set.

It had sort of coral reefs and plants. You were figthing alot of undead pirate types. Razig figures from reaper would be perfect for a scenario inspired by this level. I don't remember alot of the specifics but i'm playing through the game again now for the first time in years so i'll update this after I beat it. There was five games on the game engine for it and all of them are chock full of terrain and encounter ideas.
1.Baldurs gate dark alliance
2.Baldurs gate dark alliance 2
3.Champions of norrath
4.Champions of norrath return to arms
5.The bards tale
I highly recommend these games for anyone who loves d&d. I once saw a sunken city set made out of hirst arts based off of a level in baldurs gate 1 it was amazing. All of these games were on the ps2. A few of them were released on xbox and gamecube but if you want to play them all you will need a ps2.
