There's a whole private section of the forum that was set up for KS4 development... it was used extensively for awhile, but sadly, too many from the dev team found it not their style so activity eventually waned. So, user groups were used for awhile.
Ohhh the DF Dark Web...

I am loving the clandestine nature of this - do you all drive black SUV's with tinted windows???

I am an elf, don't i automatically get a chance to access that portion of the forum, or did that rule get changed???

I think it used to change the color of a friend's name in posts to highlight that it was someone from your list. It also gives you a fast link to their profile from inside yours. I think that's about all that does. The user groups is more for DF to be able to set up different groups with different permissions. For example they could make a group for a select group of users that are offering technical expertise toward a piece they are making and only add people that are staffers or contributing. The rest of us wouldn't see it. I don't know how much they've actually used that feature though.

I just made William my friend.

In truth William made himself my friend long ago, just by being him!

I just told the forum he was my friend so i can see what it does.
That is one of the nicest personal comments I've received in quite some time, thank you kitenerd. Ditto! :D

I also befriended you, to see what's going to happen. It didn't mention anything when I looked in there, so maybe it's just a tool for a much more active forum with hundreds of active posters that would be hard to keep up with? As Douglas said it's fairly easy to keep current with the typical amount of posts. Now, I want to figure out what the Usergroups are for? :geek:
