Ahoy there!

It's me again.

We've just announced a new Saver Pledge Level - for $34 you can snag one of our highly detailed unpainted resin bridges and help unlock more models!

I thought you might find it pertinent to the discussion at hand :)

Check it out! - http://kck.st/2JEME8c
Thank you. I appreciate the additional details in these posts and will be taking a closer look.

Hey there!

Full disclosure: I'm one of the guys working on the Resinarium Bridges campaign. That being said, I'm not here to spam anyone or slag our competitors. Since I'm working on the project, I thought I may be able to offer some insider insight towards explaining the price difference.

First off: Resinarium are expensive. There's no going around that and I'm not going to argue otherwise. But I can give you some of the reasons behind the price.

In a Resinarium Bridge, every plank and stone is sculpted separately - not a single thing is copy and pasted. In comparison, the MBA Stone Bridge (check out the review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBgz7IE9iow) has smooth, machine-manufactured surfaces that are only painted over to create an illusion of bricks - without even the smallest ridges in the sculpt, just three flat arcs.

There is a matter of labour cost, which we're very reluctant to outsource. For one thing, by designing and manufacturing the terrain in house we have full quality control over an exclusive (and expensive!) product. We also don't need to rely on third parties, which all but removes the risk of unpleasant changes to the quality or shipping delays as we wait for the boat to cross the ocean.

All Resinarium Bridges are hand-painted, which we believe adds a lot of character to the terrain in contrast to the paint job on the MBA bridge. This is subjective of course, but we decided to add a lot of detail so the bridge looks as real as it possibly can on the battlefield and personally I think it shows.

Finally, our bridges are sculpted and painted above and below - I can't see the bottom of the MBA Stone Bridge, but their Wood Plank Bridge (https://youtu.be/vZIKYUwJZyQ?t=1m26s) has flat, black bottoms - they're functional but not nice to look at.

I'm not trying to prove Resinarium Bridges are objectively better - just that there's key differences between the products. Use your own value judgement, obviously. :)

That being said, we're hearing you and are thinking of ways we can provide a more cost-effective option without sacrificing the high quality standard, which is the whole point of Resinarium in the first place.

We were hoping a flat shipping fee (irrespective of the amount of bridges) would be useful, since it'd allow people to pool their orders together, but obviously that can go only so far.

I will let you know as soon as we think of anything. And in the meantime, I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. :)

They look great, but $80 a bridge before shipping. Ouch.

Interesting. This one is cheaper though.

I've never picked up the MBA bridge because $50 seemed too expensive. Compared to $80, though...

Nice bridges but not sure I need any (want is another thing). The modular river looks intriguing, however.
