Call of Cthulhu holds some of the fondest gaming memories for me from the 80s. I have pledged this KS, but so far have resisted the huge Cthulhu pledge level. These minis look awesome, I have already started hinting to my D&D group how much fun a short break to play CoC would be...

Well CRAP I managed to snag a first month/$220 pledge tier when somebody dropped it.

I think this means I have to buy it now, right?
Pretty much, yeah.

cos if you don't you will be kicking yourself when you see the other backers getting all their goodies.

The monster sculpts are pretty cool, but the rest is pretty uninspiring for us to pledge and more importantly find room to store it.

The big dude is awesome but just got nowhere to store him.

@geekjeff - They have slots at $250 if you want to flip the big Cthulhu.
Nah, I meant if getting one in the first month of fulfillment, one could very easily flip it. 9-10 months later, not so much.

And I generally don't buy anything from a Kickstarter with the intent of selling it. Because I know I'll find some reason I want to keep it. =P

I'm in for now, but am not sure if I'll stick around. The 1920s minis are cool, but I don't see myself using minis for 1920s Cthulhu RPG. And the huge Cthulhu is amazing, but realistically...I can't see myself painting and displaying that monster anytime in the next 10 years...which might as well be never since the future is so hard to predict.

And yeah, the gameplay doesn't really interest me at all. It's all about the minis.

I had my clock set for this one and backed in the first minute, at number 346 the big squidaroo Pledge was still available at $220 but I passed.

If I’d seen it was a limited slot Pledge I would have hopped on it, I’m kicking myself now. Not because I want to find a place to store that monster, but because I could play one game with it and then almost certainly flip it for double price.

Oh well. I don’t really want to own one, but I’d kind of like to take an airbrush to one.

As for the game, I’m glad to see it’s something beyond a Mythos themed Zombicide clone. Some investigation aspect, but seems fairly combat centric. Some of the minis are quite nice.

Looks easier to setup and get people playing than Arkham Horror so that’s good. Flavor seems good, too early to tell if there’s any decent storytelling aspect but given that it’s a CMON game I’m gonna guess no.

Needs more monsters and story chapters at this point, and definitely at least a couple more Old Ones (surely optional buys.)

That is one serious sized "miniature?" Cool showpiece but hard to see actually using it in game play.
