I can combine DF, MBA, Gear Works, 4Ground, and several others rather freely as I choose.
What's Gear Works? I have and use items from all the others you list, but don't know Gear Works and am not having luck Googling them.
Thanks!
My mistake, Games & Gears has made at least one resin building. They are who I meant to reference. Oddly enough though, I can't find it on their site. Just some battlements and terrain bits.

Personally I like the tabs - it's any easy way to make sturdy structures without costly magnets and fixed sizes trays. I think they just need to make some floor pieces with tabs on 3 sides and 2 sides for the exterior bits.

Tabs are silly. DwF experience should have taught them locking is not needed.

HOwever....their cost is a lot less than DwF. this is the first serious competition I've seen, at least for basic pieces.

Has anyone figured out if the heights/floor heights/ base sizes exactly match Dwarvenite or Resin pieces?

The design limits their cross compatibility with other lines. This greatly reduces my interest unfortunately. I can combine DF, MBA, Gear Works, 4Ground, and several others rather freely as I choose. This stuff would require more effort to integrate with these than any of them require. I will probably be sitting it out.

It will be interesting to learn how robust and durable that post and hole joining tech remains. Putting things like that together and taking them apart multiple times will loosen the joints a bit and render the assembly not as stiff, if it even has a positive locking force at this point. I also see some logistical issues with making some types of rooms with all the parts walls or doors also having an attached floor section as well. Note how some of the example rooms they set up end up with just 10' wide openings to the next room since there are no standalone walls/doors.

I do like how the battlement tiles just attach to the outside mounting posts of normal floor tiles. Perhaps DF could make a battlement with a metal Tab to slide under normal floor tiles to convert certain locations.

Yup, SUPER basic. Will be great for those that have 'down and dirty' in mind. Be a pretty good build for low budget friendly category too I would imagine.

Yea seems very basic. I did not see anything that said "Wow I got to have that !!" Going to pass on this one.

more options is always better for the community at large...

I see very little threat to DF here - sculpts are very vanilla - multi layer builds have exposed tabs

this looks like a practical solution for low cost terrain but not the seriously gorgeous product we here are used to

gateway drug for newbies??? ;)
