These would have been perfect. It is a shame this guy is a scam artist and took the money and ran. I hope karma gets him one day. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ni ... iature-set
I honestly don't believe 100% it was a scam. I really think the guy just got taken advantage of and was super naive. He released the 3D files but yeah, I don't think we're getting finished walls anymore.

I am also of this opinion.
May not be a scam artist, might be naive, but is also...how to say it best. Acts like an arse. My $0.02.

These are my palisades. I like them a lot. 3d printed. These served as the palisade wall for the town of Vallaki in the Curse of Ravenloft campaign I am running right now.

My fav walls to date.

Seriously though

What i need is the tipped pointed logs that prevent a charge (cant remember what they are called) but i am figuring i will just sharpen dowels in a pencil sharpener and brush them brown - im no Oldent but i think i can mamnage that!
Suggestion:
cut dowels to length

place in large bag with assorted screws, bolts, metal washers, and a few bits of gravel or small rocks

shake vigorously for 5 minutes

remove and run through pencil sharpener

should rough up / weather the smooth dowel finish

I have an Old Glory fort I painted 30 years ago.

I think dowels are the way to go.

I use a florist weight to texture dowels when I make trees.

Clean them up with sand paper and stain them.

I make a handle to help me hold the dowels when I texture them. Drill a whole the same size as the dowel or bamboo kabob spear.

This is what the dowels were for.

Cheval de frise this one is for Black Plague
I also have some lead Cheval de Frise but the plastic is much better.

I have seen the bucket of rocks used to texture foam I have never tried it.

version 4 is what i am thinking of - no 3d printer though

LOVE the idea of roughing up the dowels - brilliant!

I was just going to make sharpie marks and then apply pain thin enough that i had texture - you idea is better

Going to use the paper towel sand method to make bases and make several 4" sections to go in the gaps of a ruined castle wall - if i actually make these i'll post pics (the road to hell and good intentions...)

For stockade bases I have purchased (usually on clearance for very cheap) some large laser cut mdf letters (best letters to use are O and Q) that have 12-14 inch diameter, 1” -2” wide and ~4mm thick.

I plan to cut them into 4-5” arcs, and hot glue poles of various styles to make the stockade sections. Max flexibility for on-table and storage

You need a 3d printer. There are exactly these items on thingiverse.com you can download and print, as many as you like, for free.
