I was inspired by Nate's live stream. What if the void was large enough for existing LED crystals  I have a hot wire cutter so I used some 1X4X4s to make a concept model.

Image

I recalled I already have some 4X4X1s that would work.

Image

The small void was too small.

Image

I made a spacer from a 1X4X4.

I will be able to a just the thickness of the pink foam. This is a secret weapon tile I removed the bridge.

Image

The spacers will work with the larger crystals too.

There are several options for the fog machine too. Remember to use water prof PVA

WIP photo of some extra floor tiles. I am going to add a violet interference dry brush. I need to pin the dragon wings so that they can be removed for transport.

Every time I see a post of Oldent's work I wonder what I'm doing with my life and dream of one day becoming proficient in crafting...
We hear that, he is the Craft Master.

Those doors are awesome.

O.K., I was wondering. ;) 8-)

My first set of lily pads were made with Sculpey and worked just fine. Maybe a little brittle, but they are super light, so even dropping them doesn't really do anything. I did the Feymous set out of GS to give them a chance during play. I don't have others usually messing with my home stuff, so fragile is O.K.
I will use the sculpey to practice.

Wait, did you bake the clay over the foam? :?:
No, I used the pink Foam as a template. The clay stamp was a little large.Using the foam template I trimmed the clay to the correct size.

Image

I pressed the lion into the foam first. It did not leave a deep enough impression. It would look better if I painted the depressions.

Image

The pink foam is also too light weight to support some of the metal decorations. The clay takes impressions better and is heaver.

I was thinking of using the oven baked clay to make some lily pads. I do not have any green.

I made some mods for the Griffin Tamer Gate. I used oven baked clay and pink foam.
