Now thats a train set we would have loved growing up :D

Sure beats a green coarse flocked mat and some dodgy papier-mâché mountains and tunnels.
Nice work Oldent :)
Thanks

This is my lay out WIP for Crystal caverns for Massive Darkness.

Image

Left side.10V for Quest VI. In QI the door is located at the track dead end. I also will not be able to use the curve. But I can use all straight track for VXI.

Image

Right 14V Quest VI.
Image

There is a door here in some of the scenarios. I am going to use pain floor tiles and the LED wall with crystal when I do not need the door. It will be fun to extend the track between rooms too.

Image

I have blocked the crystal from view because they do not effect the section. The crystal effects like light are important in Massive Darkness. I have Thought about using the mushroom walls the same way.

Image

I like the large crystal tiles but they are difficult to use with Massive Darkness because they have crystals on both sides.

Image

Players can figure this out. I would rather it be obvious. I like using the remote controls as the payers enter the area :!: :!: :!:

I need a few more crystal wall sets.

This all kinds of awesome :)

A glimpse into Old Man Willows Crystal Mine Dimension, you have to be careful that you do not stare too much into those crystals or you will lose part of yourself.

The mine tracks and carts go so well with CD.

What we like about natural bridges in this build is that photographed from beneath they give a sense of ceiling.
They also have a sinister ‘maw’ look too ;)

Cracking work Oldent :)

Nice work. 8-)
I like the multiple layers of stalactites hanging in front of the doorway. Those are hot shots. ;)
Law and your self have posted some inspirational cave photos. I want one more natural bridge :!:

I used a tea candle for this model. It will not move.

Image

I decided I would convert this Model to LED so that I could move it place to place. This video inspired the conversion.

I used a drill and made the key for the wire less battery. I used tape to fill the gap.

Image

I used clear gallery glass as cement for the glass shards and a small crystal. The gallery glass will shrink around the LED. I will finish painting tomorrow.
