Awesome job with that nest Josh! I need to get a copy of that pic on my FB page. It's really cool to see what talented painters do with my pieces, it's aways interesting to see new approaches to color scheme, etc. Normally I'm not a big fan of flocking but yours looks terrific here.

...It was great working with Stefan again this past week. KS3 keeps getting more interesting as new ideas and variants appear for possible stretch goals etc. Y'all are going to love it!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to March too... Can't wait for the sneak peeks!

Stefan, thanks for the compliment - it really is a fantastic sculpt as others have pointed out and that's half the battle in doing a good paint job.

I'm very excited to see all that comes from this collaboration. I'm sure it will be epic!

I've begun doing some more serious sculpting myself and can really appreciate the time and skill it takes to make stuff professionally. I'll have to post some of the pics here that I've taken thus far. It's a modular piece that will incorporate LEDs (of course).

Elye (Griffon tamer) is here right now helping me sculpt for K3! Tomorrow he leaves back to Vermont where he is still casting and shipping...he is a very hard worker and doing great things! Drew Williams is also here doing great things btw...
teasers soon...

And life breathes into the forum once more...

I was starting to feel like a miner trapped at the bottom of the shaft ;)

Looking forward to March!

Awesome! It improved it. I was thinking that if you added too much you could easily destroy the illusion. Flocking is a tricky thing. A little goes a long way.

Nice job.

Very nice. Interested what you do with the flocking. If you do decide to do that, please repost as I would like to see it. , it looks good without the flocking, however I can see how it would add in several areas.

So, here it is with the flocking. Enjoy!

@Keeblerorc, @Sorn,

Thanks a lot for the high praise guys! :-)

Keeblerorc, yeah the detail in the sculpt is amazing, which is why I had to paint it and put in many more hours than I had originally anticipated... Some of that was partly due to getting stuck on how I wanted to tackle the furs in the nest. I had a couple failed attempts before I got something I liked.
