Well, reviving an old thread, because I found this KS because of it.
I didn't go in for an Abbey, and I just got my pledge today.
The tiles seem ok. I noticed I do have some of the newer material (dark grey/black) for some of the corner river pieces I got.
The free stretch goal resin bits I'm not that impressed by. Lots of bubbles in pieces.
All in all, I wouldn't go in on another KS with these guys. It's a shame, because I like the concept.
Who knows when folks waiting for Abbeys are finally going to get their pledges. I hope soon.

Good news for US backers. They've announced better shipping rates to the US.

I pledged before I read how much the shipping might cost. Oh well! :)

The KS launched today.

I think I'm going to have to sit this one out but I wish them the best with the campaign. It looks like a cool system.

Yeah, the entire Zuzzy situation is fubar. I'm glad I wasn't around when they were getting things going, I would have definitely lost some money on those.

GUYS! The real actual kickstarter for this starts JUNE 20th. My wallet is prepared.

@whynotjon - Zuzzy mats are very nice but I highly recommend not ordering from them. I've been waiting for my mat since October 2014. Yes, that's 2014. Not a typo. They also do not reply to email inquiries. It's a real shame because the mats are beautiful.

I'm very curious about this too and I plan to check it out when it goes live. The two issues I have are:

1) Cost of shipping. This is still an unknown.

2) Metric measurements. 30cm is pretty close to 12 inches. Many people won't care. There will be gaps if you try to integrate directly into a DF layout (e.g. use a Manorhouse tile in an Imperial Streets layout). It may not be a game killer but it is something to consider.

I've been looking for an outdoor base for a while now, since DF has me too addicted to modularity to just paint up some plywood or make a diorama. I really wanted a Zuzzy mat, but apparently that whole situation is in turmoil right now, but this is even better. I am 100% on board with this, I love the sculpts, and the price is right.
