If anything, it's also great free publicity, and would practically serve as an interactive product catalog. It could be kept updated as new sets are released.

I wish Heruca lots of luck with this KS.

And DF can and should do what ever they want to do.

But I am not sure how Heruca's product would help DF's sales of their product.
If anything, they could license their trademark to be used along with MapForge. If MapForge takes off, having a a contract to collect revenue for use of the DF name would be nice.

But I think the big thing could be a replacement for the map maker. It's free R&D if Heruca is willing to incorporate the DF products inside of it. These kinds of programs are not cheap to create.

Thanks for the email address, Josh. I just forwarded my prior email to Suzy.

Kodiakbear, hopefully, in the same way the Map Maker helped. Users can generate an inventory of the tiles needed to create a particular layout, and if they're short a certain tile, they can place an order for however many they are missing.

Personally, I think it would be more useful as a layout planning tool. Even if it generates no additional sales, DF customers might be happier that this tool is at their disposal for getting the most out of their tile collection.

If you aren't gaming then you aren't living.

Quick update on the KS campaign:
Stretch Goal #3 was reached today, unlocking 4 more free content Add-Ons, for a total of 9. Which makes for a totally awesome "Starter Set".

Stretch Goal #2 unlocked support for random map generation via Donjon.

There are now well over 1000 backers, with 18 days remaining on the 31-day campaign. Still no word from Dwarven Forge. Might have to email them again.
I'd message Suzy Simon on FB; she responds very quickly and has Jay and Stefan's ear.

Just for me, if DF support was built into your application, I would definitely buy it. I have spent countless hours with Campaign Cartographer (and all its variant expansions) from its DOS days to the present - nothing like building worlds, cities, dungeons etc. Good luck with MapForge!
