Did you guys get the chairs too, and if so how are they? I want to buy some but the price is a bit crazy, even considering the already crazy price of their tables :)
Yes, we got eight of the chairs. They're as well made as the table.

The amazing thing is that they're so comfortable, even without any padding. I can sit on one for a six hour gaming session and suffer no ill effects. With any other hard chair, that would leave my posterior numb. :)

I have an emissary, and couldn't be happier with it. It's much cheaper than the Sultan (though it was still about $5-6k), and seems well suited to the kind of games I play (mostly board games, some skirmish gaming). Also I needed a dining table...

Like Runeweaver, my wife and I bought a Sultan:

Our table is a Polestar, which seats eight people.

They're not for everyone, but as Ferris Beuller once said, "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." :)

I think Hammered Game Tables has shifted into the mid-range slot for gaming tables now that GeekChic has raised their prices.

Ferris Buehler line is dead on. Couldn't agree more. They are the Ferrari of the market. (Although the price has gone up some. Supply and demand. Wait time is about 1-2 years once you put down deposit.)

$20-30K? That's crazy!

(says the enthusiast who dropped $4K on KS4 - hypocrisy much?)

Seriously, though, for that kind of money, I'd probably learn finishing carpentry by myself. I think my friend could probably do it for about $10-15K Canadian (about $7-11K US) if he tried.

Wow, have the Sultan prices gone up? That table seating 8 is now $25K. I seem to recall it being more like $15K or so. Granted either price is the cost of a cheaper new car. I admit though, if I had the means, I'd consider one. Or having some local woodworker make something similar.
