Not where I'm from but where I ended up...

Unincorporated Clackamas County in Oregon, between Portland and Oregon City.

Willamette Falls (pictured) is about 4 miles south of my house.

Too funny, I used to live there (in fact born around there). Its actually still "home" in many ways, and travel through that area, often enough. Was there last week.

Love Mt. Hood. Always so picturesque.

Um... you can't post a picture of water falls without telling us where it is. It's a rule.

If you aren't gaming then you aren't living.

I live in Northfield Minnesota (U.S.), which is a town "on the edge of the prairie," as they say. However I grew up across the river in much-hillier western Wisconsin.

My favorite local site is the river that divides the two states:

After most of their life in California, my brother-in-law worked most of the past year in Prescot. Now he and my sister want to move there if his job will require him there for some time to come. They fell in love with it up there.

EDIT - That's a gorgeous house, Magniopi.

Looks like they're pulling it off though. I think it's nice looking.
I've always liked brick buildings and we don't have that many here.
There's an historic area just a few blocks outside downtown with a brick Victorian mansion built in 1883. Everything from Civil War Days to Christmas Light Shows to Ribfest is held annually in the surrounding park.

From Arizona here, its hot but has both desert and forested areas (up north). It's about an hour drive from my house in the desert up to Flagstaff or Prescott where its green with forest. Many people choose to retire here as you can easily go back and forth to escape the summer heat of the desert.

Here are two interesting places in AZ; Tombstone and Sedona. Sedona has red rocks and great hiking trails. I have been going up to Sedona since I was a child and I love it there, such a peaceful serene feel to it.

Naperville, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It's trying to maintain its small-town feel, despite having nearly 150,000 residents.
