Hey all, my first RPG publication is slated for release this October. It's a horror themed adventure for character levels 8 -10.

I'll post more info in this thread when I get the green light from the publisher but I wanted to give a heads-up now to anyone looking for a game to run for Halloween time :)

[edit - this is scheduled for release on Friday, Oct 13th. However you can order your copy now from Total Party Kill Games]
Wow, you designed a drop-in...and it might fit my DFJ group restart!

We'll be gone on the 13th, but that obviously won't stop an order...you're tempting me, Jas.

Full color maps are certainly included. Beautifully crafted by the talented Elven Tower, all maps have a 17th century "woodcut" appearance to keep up with the module's folk-horror aesthetic.
Thanks for the link to the Elven Tower website, they have some cool stuff. I especially like their isometric maps. I love building vertically with DF, and these maps are great inspiration for that.

Awesome painting. Upon seeing it, I immediately thought of a dozen terrain pieces that will make an appearance in my setup. This pic is now saved to my desktop to inspire my Bleak Harvest DF building spree. :D

This looks awesome. Congrats Jason! I just placed my pre-order and am looking forward to running for Halloween.
I created a handful of pre-generated characters for those running Pathfinder. I know that's the system you're currently using so look for a link in your email :)

A couple questions:
1. Does it include maps?
2. How long does the module take to run? Is it intended as a one-shot or multi-session adventure? (understanding of course that pacing of any game is highly dependent on GM style and player choice)
Full color maps are certainly included. Beautifully crafted by the talented Elven Tower, all maps have a 17th century "woodcut" appearance to keep up with the module's folk-horror aesthetic. While the maps are intricate, what they depict is pretty simple. My writing challenge for myself was to squeeze the horrific out of the ordinary so don't expect any exotic locales. I can't wait to see how you interpret these encounters for your players :)

As far as length, a dedicated gaming group should be able to finish this adventure in 12 hours. I initially wrote this as a one-shot but then my keyboard got away from me, spewing more material than intended LOL.

This looks awesome. Congrats Jason! I just placed my pre-order and am looking forward to running for Halloween. I'm already getting setup ideas with nothing more than the cover and webpage description to go on. If only the fog monster kickstarter were shipping earlier...I'm pretty sure there is spooky fog somewhere in this adventure :D

Can't wait - I will be sure to buy it (as all of us will) so that your sales DEMAND that they publish more of your work!

Congratulations!

That is great. Congratulations! I love horror themed adventures. Glad there will be a 5th ed version. Let me know where I can buy it when it comes out.
Thanks! TPK Games is the publisher giving me a shot at game design. If dark fantasy is your thing you should really check out the other products on their website. I've been a fan of theirs for a long time, which makes this opportunity even sweeter for me :)
