Grids are ugly. Just use measure/fire stix!! Also avoids players knowing exactly how far things are...

Couldn't you just paint a hint of the grid into the deck boards?
Yeah, probably. But that requires more effort!! Haha. ;)

I recently backed this. If you have a 3d Printer, it looks like a pretty cool ship making system.

Here is another 3D Printable KS that has some neat stuff I ran across. It's out of NZ, but that shouldn't matter with STL files. Was considering it, but don't see a printer in my near future. Only six days left on this.
I would have gone for the ships and the buildings. The Tribal stuff is cool, but wouldn't need it so much.

Yeah, I saw that too. Really nice looking models. My only complaint is no grids. :( Great for wargaming stuff, but sadly I'm still a slave to the tactical grid system, heh.

The Sail barge is way cool, but that ship looks freaking awesome!

Gonna be a doomed wallet when that comes out :(
though if we were being critical we'd say it needed a topside rail and deck cannon to go on top of the single gun deck.
But that's perhaps our inner Ork coming out - need more dakka!

You could always get Jabba's sail barge. It is 4 feet long and only $500. Too bad the scale is wrong. :D

As pricey as that will be, i cannot see any way to avoid plunking down the cash

that is far and away the coolest and most playable ship i have seen

they have struck a very good balance between realism and functional terrain (ie the crows nest) and i want it BAD!
