I do wonder how well the masts will stay in place with such a high center of gravity once you load them up with sails and minis...

Those will need to be some strong magnets.

One thing we want to know is can we put cannon onto the gun deck ?
For my game world I’d either make the ship a galley and use the gun ports for oars, or put ballistae behind them.
You don't want big cast iron BOOM pipes!?

Ah well each to their own ;)

Could look really cool if the main deck can be removed and galley rowers added.
Or thinking about it, just slap in some oars through the gun ports remove the magnetic masts (magnets are awesome) a ballista on both fore and stern castles, bang a cohort of roman legionaries on deck and Boom! you got yourself a Roman war galley straight out of Ben Hur. :D

It looks like the cardboard pieces are so that you can play in the underdecks without tearing the boat apart if you have action going on in multiple decks. Plus any decks that are below the waterline would have to be separate.

are the top decks no longer removable?

seems like they have switched to cardboard below decks that slide underneath the boat - this is probably more convenient - what about the fore and aft castles - do we have access to those spaces?
They did say that the panels came off so you can play in that part. https://youtu.be/ISyPx1_9nSc?t=1159

Hmmm, not sure how I feel about some of that, but realistically trying to have a multi level ship all in the same hull becomes hard to gameplay on, so having standalone lower decks makes some sense. What I did not see however were access to the Stern/Forecastle regions of the ship. (I have one on Preorder in any case - it will be the "ship of the line" in any nautical scenario I create in any case.

If anyone wants to see what it looks like. I am glad I have one on pre-order now that I have seen this. https://youtu.be/ISyPx1_9nSc?t=1108
