How fast do cars go across the bottom of the pacific ocean?

Oh .... That slow. Well, I guess I'll round up a bit and say I'd never make it.

My parent's house is only about a 4 hour drive away, which was great last year, my first and likely only Gencon trip.

only about 11hrs away for me. All I would need now is to throw a mattress in the back of my Excursion, find a truck stop to sleep and shower at, and I'll be all set. Oh, and lots of money... could really use lots of money :P

Anyone know anything about Double Exposure and the Envoy program?

https://www.dexposure.com/envoy/

They were an official sponsor of Salt Con and I got to stand up on stage and everything, but communication since I won has been sparse. They verified my physical address but have been silent since then. I need to know if I should buy airline tickets or not.... They are based in NYC and I've called their number, left a message, and sent an email.

Just wondering if that's all I can do or if someone knows anyone there or anything about the company/program.

Congratulations :)

A mighty prize indeed - but beware the hidden cost..........

Surrounded by all those goodies I fear doom for your wallet - or maybe that's more doom.

Enjoy AS :)

Excellent!
I've been going for about ten years now--helping a friend of mine run a live action dungeon crawl event--and it's always a blast.
My best recommendation (aside from basic stuff like get sleep and decent meals while there) is to really check out the program guide and pre-reg for events you want. There are a TON of options, but lots of events sell out if you wait until you're on site.
My first few years I just wandered around checking out stuff at random. That was great. Since I've started pre-registering, my fun has been tailored to my interests and so much better.

Also, if you're considering bringing the family, there is an entire section of events just for non-gamers. My wife does not game, but once our daughter is a little older (she's three now) they plan to come with me.

Awesome Zach!

Congratulations on being the new Western Regional Champ... now you have to deal with all the up and coming prospects seeking you out, wanting a piece of you ;)

I have never been to GenCon but i have always wanted to go - WOW - I am jealous.

I would have a hard time with that many vendors. I like everything and when i meet the people who make it, i really want to support them. I have a feeling you should bring a wheelbarrow of cash. The DF by the pound thing is something i regret not having access to. There are soo many pieces that i would love to have just a few more of...

You are going to have a blast!
