Maybe if I post here, I'll be accountable.
The big to-do is organize our new game room, which is used for storage:

Fixed your mistake for you. ;)

Hahahha, thanks Morden! I wish the room was big enough for that! The whole wall will become storage at some point. (glad Ikea finally opened here!)
:D

The big to-do is organize our second bedroom which is used for storage:
Image
The dark bookcase is full of Reaper Bones, and Wizkids stuff.
Not to mention more unpainted mini's than I can shake a stick at. :?

Then I need to find a way to make my painting area more comfortable:
Image
It's just our old breakfast table, and the master bedroom has so much natural light.
But I usually find myself painting on the couch.
I'm an avid fan of Doctor Faust's Painting Clinic, (he's the reason I started painting mini's 17 yrs ago).
He recently reviewed a task light, that I think wold vastly help with painting.
So hopefully with funds allowed that will join my setup.

As far as painting, I also have some of Castles still to do, fix some of my City Builder stuff (a colour I tried for some roofs didn't work.) Paint ALL the fiddly bits! (any LED stuff, magnetic accouterments) and of course DoD.
I also have Grenadier & Ral Partha stuff from the 80's that needs clean up and priming.
Boats from the Blood and Plunder game, Dark Souls board-game mini's, etc, etc.

My nephew recently started up a Starfinder campaign that I bowed out of. Without the pressure of having to get character mini's painted up, I might find time. (A year ago I switched from part time to full time at my job, and I'm usually just not in the mood to paint. )

I did start painting again, and wanted to make it something fun to encourage me:

Thanks for the thread! Now hold my feet to the fire!

I am so glad I am not a true collector or packrat. My situation would be so much worse.

As a died in the wool packrat (viz. my nic), I completely understand. :?

I was also a "collector" for a while (micro armor, boardgames and gaming mags), but sold all those off. Have been slowly (too slowly according to SheWhoShallNotBeNamed) selling off minis I know I will never get around to painting/playing.

My biggest challenge has been getting to 100% on any particular project. I have a multitude of themes, eras, etc. that are partially completed. Many are well enough along to play (Frostgrave/GA, Colonial Africa, Cthulhu, Post Apoc/Zombies) but many more are not.

My 28mm Ice Age Caveman Mammoth Hunt is about 98% there - just a handful of figures left to do.

I keep saying I will not start anything new until I have completed the stuff I have already started...

Yeah, right.

Having said all that, having a bunch of stuff in the works allows me to pick up something to work on in a moment's notice, as the mood suits me.

Yeah, right.

Use the time to paint
I have been too, but taking my big trees (2) in a greener direction and I'm so much slower. The autumnal looking one there is very nice and the other bits and green dragon are sweet too. I didn't get that dragon, wish he had been the one in the core set. But, oh well.

I also wish I had realized the trees would have already been put together, then I could have just continued on my Citadel Woods months ago. Another, oh well... Now I'll have two sets of six different looking trees, instead of a dozen similar ones for a 'small forest' of similar trees, but I can live with the mix.

Nice work, do you ever see your family? ;)
 Yes it takes some effort.I suffer with "empty nest" quite often. Hard to get them in one place.

With Oldent on this one MrM :) great gorilla and Fabulous paintjob!
Thanks, he came out pretty well, though like I said, I'm a SLOW painter without enough free time. That one took me about three weeks.

I have been doing a lot of painting, but I’m slow so that doesn’t always equate to progress. I did just finish this though:
