Love the beard(s) and that there is a cane hanging from your wrist in the first pic. :ugeek:
In both photos  It is not the age but the milage.
I prefer the shepherd style. The groomer thought the dog beard was funny too.
Absolutely epic beards... and you look terrifying with that handheld mortar!

Here's me, doing what I love the most:

I invented roleplaying games. No, I'm not kidding... my friend Andrew and I, never having been exposed to them, came up with the idea and developed a horribly broken system in the 4th grade. It was side-scrolling; I'm 40 now, so it was the age of the NES console, Super Mario Brothers and the Legend of Zelda. It graduated into a top down exploration of a piece of graph paper with terrain symbols drawn in the squares. We had a vague notion that there should be some caverns and monsters, treasure and castles associated with all of this. Maybe He-Man and She-Ra led us to that conclusion.

I was exposed to one of the AD&D boxed sets (maybe it was BECMI), and brought it home. My mother's friend saw it and warned her about its evils, and it was promptly banished from my house. No big loss, really. I picked up GURPS and no one was the wiser. Then Palladium, Stormbringer, ANYthing but D&D. TMNT the RPG, Rifts, and finally Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay as a 15 year old.

Didn't actually get into D&D until my mid-twenties with the advent of 3rd edition, however, I'd read about a billion Forgotton Realms and Dragonlance novels by then, and the Lord of the Rings about 12 times. Browsing through OD&D books is still fun. I have obtained a number of modules - Keep on the Borderlands, White Plume Mountain, Barrier Peaks, etc. I've also read a lot of Appendix N, which really ties it all together. I've now probably at least sampled hundreds of games, and my game book library is immense.

All that said, I'm 40 now and I'd have to say that my favorite Form of the hobby is the dungeon crawl. I like RP as much as the next guy, but the dungeon is a crucible of challenges and tantalizing treasures. They're fun to design, thematically and tactically and trap-tically. That's my piece.

If I was still working I would have to have this new riot gun so I might not have money to spend

No :!: "my Mother had me tested" I am retired and extremely dangerous. I sold off my black rifles when I stopped working. I still drop by Moss Pawn to visit with my retired buddies on thursdays.

I seem to be the only one over 60 to post. I was the youngest in my model train group and my historical wargame group. I am playing with my friends children and grandchildren because most of the club members have passed on.The movers and shakers in our group now were children when I organised the club.

I am going to guess that not shopping online has more to do with how many people my age are going to be involved than fixed income. My houses (exwives) and cars are paid for. I purchased most of my DF retail or at Gencon.
If I could exercise more I would not be online to comment as often.

The problem isn't so much the magnetized game tiles, it's the characters constantly fly off the hood.

Just to note, two months (or 62 days) shy of 55.
Why yes, yes I am 12 at heart, so what of it???
