I picked maple although he can make them out of any wood. He told me that oak would have been the cheapest as it is much easier for him to work with, but I just like the look of maple much better.

Wow these are so cool, they look amazing. I\'d love a few of these in our house.

Neat cabinets!
Our DF collections and storage solution are quite similar.

DnD gamer... Where are you located?

I have been collecting DF since about 2006/2007.

Excellent work on the cabinets! Definitely a Master carpenter. Your RPG collection is impressive. How long have you been collecting?

I\'d like to consider getting two made. Would you mind sending me an email with your carpenter\'s contact info? My email address is dndgamer at hot mail dot com.

Thanks again!

Sure, I will share anything I can. But I don\'t have any blueprints. I just gave the builder things like drawer numbers and dimensions, wood type, stain colors, etc. and then he put it all together based on his vast experience. He has his secrets on how he builds things (like how he joins corners, etc). I don\'t know anything about that.... I just know he is a true master. I told him to keep all the dimensions and info handy in case someone on these forums is interested in commissioning one (and for when I need a third!), but some of what he does probably isn\'t easy to explain... You just know it from years and years of doing it. He is to cabinet crafting what Stefan is to modular terrain making! :)

I like the idea an earlier poster had about attaching a DF badge on them. I wonder how I could swing something like that. Hmmmm...

:DROOL + SLOBBER:

That is an impressive collection, shoesan1. And you really did think up the perfect design to store it!

Any chance of you sharing the schematics of your cabinets with us?
