One coat of Cardboard on the tent.
The wagon and one bookshelf dry brushed with cardboard.
All I can do for now

Just received our Terrain Crates - forgotten what too expect and was pleasantly surprised :)

After seeing all these fabulous Tavern and Library builds - turns out with some paint we can do the same :)
Ended up getting the three crates, and very pleased we did - like the fact the mine tracks have no base so could easily be placed in a dungeon or cavern.
The battlefield crate was what we really wanted with those tents

All in all a great start to the weekend :)

Oldent how do they take paint with no primer ? as like you say the base colour is pretty good
The short answer is better than expected.Way better than Bones :!:
The umber went on with one thin coat. Almost the same color but flat.
The Christmas green was brushed on thick leaving some brown showing. I will dry brush it with Leaf green and Apple tart when it is dry. There is a visible mold line on the hedge. I will not bother to remove it.The brown will work well with the book shelves. I should be able to speed paint the library. I got 4.

The wagon could be adjusted with hot water. I am going to leave it because the distorted plastic makes it look rickety. Some of the spears in the treasure pack will need some hot water.

The fences will need a base. I may prime the box tents white if I pant them with bright colors.

I pulled out a few new parts to work on
I get my TC order today... what did you use to wash pieces? Soap/water or something special?

Assuming these are injection molded, I would not expect to have to wash them...
I always wash with dish soap. It might not always be necessary. I wanted to see if I could paint them without primer. The brown is a nice base color.

I had to adjust a few parts wit hot water

My TerrainCrate KS stuff is supposed to show up tomorrow, and then sometime after that the Secret Weapon Mines, and of course more DF. Thankfully my DF stuff is all prepainted, there are only so many hours in the day.

I will add a little more highlight to the edge before I work on the metallics.

The Terrain Crate Kickstarter arrived today. I only had time to wash part of it.I like the Battle field box more than I thought I would.

I should be able to dry brush the lever room tonight.I want it to dry some more. Maybe before I go to bed.
