Perhaps I should be more clear. I meant none of the water or laval pieces had lava or water on the walls, or part of the walls. It could be done a bit with the waterfall pieces or painting, but this is the first piece that could really show lava on the walls heading down to either a laval tile piece or a lava terrain tray.

I was only talking about floor to wall transitions, not set to set transitions, which are still kinda thin in the DF offering.
No worries,... I understood, but left it for you to clarify. ;)

One of the weaknesses of KS2 water and lava was that none of it transitioned to the walls. If DF is fixing that I am all for it.
Yes and no.

There is the narrow passage transition that goes from cavern colors to lava cavern colors. But other than that, there are no transition pieces. But that's not all the different than the resin cavern->DOE, or DOE->Hellscape transition pieces. Even dungeons->caverns really only had one piece in that line. Even the new dwarvenite ice catacombs has minimal transition pieces.

A few lava pieces that better integrated with existing caverns would be nice. The KS2 stuff didn't really grab me, but this looks quite nice.
