If DF could have a 40\' container van completely full of KS3 dwarvenite ship to Brazil or Germany or England and have it distributed for the same or less cost than it does in the USA they would. But it requires there to be enough customers in that country who are part of KS3.

America and USA are technically different things.

Plus there is NAFTA.

There are other options that DF could explore. Why ship international from the USA? It is double handling and USA rates can be very expensive. Production is in China, and there are very reasonable Surface Air Lift (SAL) rates as well as surface rates available there. I suppose there could be tax considerations for DF due to this, but everything is possible. And having low rates allows for more cash to DF purposes and attracts more backers.

Again, there are plenty of frieght specialists, forwarding agents or just China Post (with tracking and insurance). There is no reason why this can\'t be handled ex post facto on this KS, maybe just give the int backers more goods ya know. This is not really all that hard actually. But the considerations in that link are still are still a concern.

We\'re a bunch of DF addicts. The second kickstarter ended this week, we haven\'t seen the final addon pack, we havn\'t confirmed our orders with the pledge manager, and it\'ll be a while before we have KS2 in-hand.

\"What\'s next!?\"

The enthusiasm is actually kinda great! :)

I think what drives me to ask and talk about what\'s next already is that with Dwarvenite molds costing so much I really don\'t see DF being able to do big expansions of the line without Kickstarters. Oh sure they could add a little here and a little there but I want to see Dwarvenite game tiles for everything DF.

Thank you for the link, it is very informative. For the record I am an international backer, so I share the same issues with shipping. But, I don\'t expect to be treated preferentially over local country backers. Bones 1 had a very sweet deal for int backers, one that was ruthlessly exploited (I know I enjoyed it). I knew at the time that Reaper was getting the wrong end of the stick and boy did they.

Bones 2 was almost derailed by the lack of sweet deal and on ROW shipping. Since it was going to be so much more expensive, I bad to consider another way. The phase \"shouldn\'t have to\" is a reflection of KS entitlement IMO. Accept the terms and adapt, or find something else. Taking a trip to NY, Guam, Palau, or Hawaii is another cost effective possibility for some. Why waste the $1000 as I have see some have spent on shipping?

What I\'m asking for is perfectly reasonable, and would benefit DF as well by encouraging larger pledges from international backers next time. All I\'d like to see is a shipping solution that takes actual cost into account, instead of a flat rate for each pack. I was happy to pay the shipping for Bones II, and personally I\'d rather deal directly with the company rather than introducing a third party reshipper into the mix. There are too many things that can go wrong, and you have very little recourse if they lose your package, etc.

If you are happy arranging you own alternatives, then good for you, but throwing around words like \"entitlement\" just because someone has a different opinion to you doesn\'t seem very productive. Ultimately, I\'m posting here to get a message through to the DF team, and I don\'t see why you would have a problem with that.
