Ok, I think I have the final blocking of the stones worked out. Here it is with the original one next to it on the right.

Here's version 2 of the stone insert. I still have to add texture, but it's all blocked out. The pattern is better, and the height of the stones isn't too high like in the first one.

Edit: looking at the picture I see a couple shapes I don't like and will go back and fix. But it's still a huge improvement on the first one.

It's not too hard to combine rug sections to make something that fits.

I was going to try the rug from the mold, but realized they were too small. I still want to try a version with a rug, though.

Those look great, Josh. I'm planning to do some that use the rugs from my floor accessory mold, that way there's a reason for the overlap. I'll have to modify the large rug a little to make it longer, but it should work great since the DF beds fit on top of it.

I resculped the wood insert to be flush... once I can get more silicone and cast these pieces I can then see how well the inserts stay... maybe a cork backing will help.
