I remember we printed out some maps for Campaign Cartographer for Origins/GenCon. We used some vinyl type sheets that looked like parchment/Canvas. It was able to be run through a regular printer and was very durable. Looked really cool, I think I still have a few left. Not sure where Steve got it from.

BTW where did you find the miniature picture frames? I have not been able to find them at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

Couldn't you also just modify your picture with a linen texture look and then print it on cardstock or other type of normal paper?
Thanks. I appreciate the suggestion, but I've been using Photoshop for about 20 years or so, and I'm not a fan of those Photoshop effects; they just don't compare to the actual, physical texture which is what I'm going for.

It's definitely important to go with a textured surface paper vs. a printed texture. I think I recall that one is a printed surface, but I could be wrong... there's just a huge array of papers at my local store down that isle. :-)

The only Recollections thing I can find is this, which looks promising even if it's not the exact one you used!

Was it something like this?

Thanks for taking a look. But, no. It's not a paper or a textured paper. It's actual linen on a fused backing; it's from the Recollections brand of scrapbooking papers/materials.

Ditto! Would love to know the material, I haven't been able to find anything googling that works in a laser printer and not an inkjet.
I wasn't able to find the exact sheet, but know it was part of the Recollections brand series of specialty scapbooking papers. Unfortunately, they don't carry it at my local Michael's craft store anymore. I do know it's a natural linen fabric that seems to be on a fuser backing... which leads me to think I can make the stuff myself :-)
