Cannot load attachments for some reason but here is some painting I did to the Cavern Rivers. I am very happy with how this turned out.

Thanks everyone. I like how they turned out. I went through several trial runs to get the look I wanted.

To extend the land into the water I just used a thick mix (not mixed together) of earth stone, olive, and stone edge. I put them on the same pallet and just let the colors run into each other then I used a very small piece of natural sponge to dab on the the colors starting dark and going light.

I added sapphire blue to the shallow water green to give it more of a bluish tint, and I added moss green to the water bubble blue to make it more teal rather than straight light blue. I also thinned both a lot to make them more transparent.

It all went rather quickly once I found the paint scheme I wanted.

I used Triple Thick glaze to make shallow water along the shore, but not for the deep dark green water. Tip (from my mistake): Use nail polish on the dark green water because the TTG scratches easy and showed scratches badly on the dark green background. I like the ticker look of the TTG, but I had to go over it with nail polish to get a harder finish.

All a lot of fun, but I am ready to crank out a ton of regular cavern pieces. I have that process down so I won't take too long.

Very nice! I did not trust my ability to do water yet so I got pre-painted on them and the Wicked Set.

Depth effects and random lighter blobs are very cool. Will keep these in mind when I get 'round to doing mine.

I like the illusion of depth with your paint job; mind sharing how you did it?
