This paint is water based:

I don't know how well it cleans up, however. Especially in textured floor pieces.

That's an awesome idea - love it!

I wonder - is there any way to get a similar effect with a non-permanent solution? Something that'll wash off, or something I could hit w/ a black light, or something players would need special glasses to see?

I may have to head down this rabbit hole for a bit...

Awesome! This is sort of what I want to do with all of my cavern pieces. Normal caverns in normal light. Glowing fluorescent blues, greens, purples under a black light for the Deep Underdark (drow) regions.

Thanks for the pics and rekindling this idea for me. Very cool!

PS. +1 to Arcarius for the RUSH 2112 reference!

Thank you, I hope your players enjoy it!

If you put a sealer on the tile before adding the glow in the dark paint it might make it easier to remove. Personally I don't plan on remove the glow in the dark paint.

If you want to use the normal tiles in the dark, you can always take out the marked tiles. I figure most of the time I will be playing in the light.

gobsmacked...

That is very cool. So very cool.

Only pity is that when you are done with the scenario, I would think it would be permanent. I suppose you could paint over it, but...

So freaking awesome!!! My players would flip if they saw a room like that. So many great gaming applications. The idea of using it to make glowing caverns would be lovely.

Thanks for sharing!
