These look great! Nice work!
I agree with MrMorden.
Ive used 2 products from citadel - A paint from their textured line Mourn Mountain Snow (Valhallan blizzard may have replaced this?) it has a grey-blue hue to it .. and the scenery snow. Both I've used on mini bases but I think they'd be a nice touch on some terrain pcs, if looking to add to that icy-snowy look.

In another thread I mentioned a product made by Games Workshop called "Valhallan Blizzard". It allows you to do easy snow effects. I'm very tempted to buy a few unpainted tiles (I always by pre-painted DF) to experiment on. I think caverns painted up like the ones posted by the OP, and then with the VB product piled up in corners and on top of some parts of the raised areas (and along the river banks in build like the OP's) would look pretty magnificent.

Worth reposting or rather a bump. Look closely at this guy’s ice river. It is still just so awesome.

Thanks for doing so. I missed (or forgot about) this and it was great to see.

And I just stumbled on 2 unopened unpainted water cavern packs that I was going to sell...but now I'm thinking I hold onto them until Caverns Deep arrives and maybe see about painting them up to match. I suspect I'll like the negative space version just fine, but it might be nice to have a small river painted in ice as well.

The tiles were simply painted and dry-brushed. Then I used realistic water coloured with Reaper Snow Shadow and a dropper to darken the tiny pools. Then a goopy layer of Triple thick particularly by the shoreline. When dry, another layer of coloured RW focusing again on the shoreline. Hope that helps.
