Re: GREEN STUFF Mods to Dwarvenite

EDIT: This is the second of two posts, other one is at end of last page (Page #3).

Two small floor mods, Mostly cutting, but there is one small green stuff dot added to one of the floor pieces for stability. The part you don't see in these pics is the edge of the underside filled to create a lip. These were mods to one standard floor tile (gray box) and then 3 modifications to each of the 2 larger corner chasm floor pieces. The two chasm floor pieces were easier and left a bit less waste when done. I cut one each of the pieces from a standard floor tile and the other 6 are from chasm pieces. They're not the best fit, but then again it is a cavern floor.

Later... ;)

EDIT: Yes, those are my initials. Was laying out for a picture and noticed with a few shifts I could get close. I'll post some of the wall and corner creek pieces in a few days.
Also, I appologise for the text not lining up with pictures, I think I fixed that. ;)

Also want to bump last post on end of last page, it got lost in the shuffle.

Here are a few more mods.

CornerA mods -
These are the jagged pieces left over from mods shown to chasm pieces on next post/page.
I'll be using these when stacking levels to have an undercut in a cliff wall. I might do a few walls like this and one with a short passageway through wall.

That's a damn cool ta-dah. Too bad I don't even possess a modicum of the self-confidence it would take to cut up pieces like that!

Thought I would toss a link to my Dwarvenite Cutting Thread since I'm showing lots of cutting in these mods. So...

Have fun with this stuff, it's all for kicks anyway. :P

Thanks Oldent, unless that was for Josh, then I'll just tag along...hehe

I thought I would add these two mods, even though they don't have any Green Stuff. I did cut them, which is also a step in the proccess, so I'm only partially cheating the thread. ;)

Critter run pieces. I did a small change to fit them in between two 2" tiles in a layout. the little slopped piece is about an 1/8" off to slap two together to fit in one tile width. I did notice the slivers are tapered to created a more 90 degree angle off the wall. Anyway, I didn't cut the critter bed, just the sloped pieces, but did each one (of two) from either end. You'll see. (Yes, I scuffed the end up of bed, but didn't remove any depth.)-(Yet? ;) )

Here is the 45 degree cavern passage angle cut into two 22.5 degree angles. This way I can match up any combo of pieces. You can also introduce more of a zig-zag to reduce sight lines for spells and arrows...

Note, GS will eventually harden in water, but it will also keep it from setting up longer than normal and it keeps it from sticking to whatever you set the chunk on.
I have not used PJ, but does it screw with painting later?
I've only used my greens to create molds so I'm not sure about the 'painting later' part... but I'd imagine it just needs to be washed in hot water with some soap and then rinsed good and it'd be fine.
