I have noticed the water I have left it in will get a wee filmy, so something is comeing out of the putty into the water, but it's not like were trying to stop a leaking pipe. Note, GS will eventually harden in water, but it will also keep it from setting up longer than normal and it keeps it from sticking to whatever you set the chunk on.
I have not used PJ, but does it screw with painting later?
I've only used my greens to create molds so I'm not sure about the 'painting later' part... but I'd imagine it just needs to be washed in hot water with some soap and then rinsed good and it'd be fine.

As you say, a lot of water keeps it from getting sticky... sometimes it seems that a lot of water gives it an almost "saturated" feel (though I doubt the GS is absorbing water). It doesn't seem to hurt the final sculpt but I wonder if I'll lose detail that way. Also, there are a lot of recommendations for using petrolium jelly on tools to keep it from sticking. Has anyone done that? I'm wondering if there's any issue to doing that aside from having to wipe the petrolium jelly off when done... could it get into the sculpt and corrupt it in any way?

I totally missed your post Stefan, I must have been writting my long post and went on from there. Yes, it's wonderful to cut, the Caverns seem even easier than the Game Tiles. Might be the thickness of those floors, but the material seems softer too. Hope the 1/2 roofs in the city are not magnetized, so we can mod those. I have big plans, if they don't have a metal plate in them. Here's hoping. :|
I would also take any bad pieces that didn't form correctly off your hands, matter of fact I would love some of those to play with.
Oh yea, Thanks, I love doing this stuff. It's what I can, lately. ;)

@KMJ and Josh -
Thanks, I hope everyone uses the ideas.
@ Eden -
I was going to wait to post all of them after I painted them, but my ideas for mods took over and I'm afraid it will be months if not years before I get them all modded and painted. That's why I thought I would just do the posting in stages. I will eventualy post the painted pieces. I have a problem with concentrating on one project at a time, I think I'm in the middle of about 7 or 8. No real priority, just whatever is not boring me at the moment. I really need to get back to the Basalt Column project. :lol:

I started doing these Green Stuff mods a month or two back and find I really like messing with the putty, but it does get very sticky there for about ten-fifteen minutes. Use lots of water if the stickiness becomes a problem. Also wait for a bit to add details once you have adheared it to material. I have hand drilled holes into some of the slicker areas of the dwarvenite, even went through bottom to lock putty to piece.
Tip: if you live a in a hot climate and use the rolled ribbon or tape type GS, keep it in the fridge and it will not stick as much to the plastic coating on the roll of Green Stuff. I usually cut off various legnths of the tape from 1/8" to an inch and that way I only mix small amounts at a time. Keep those fingers and tools wet or it WILL stick.

Here are two mods to the Wall-B pieces.

Cut away one of each side of column -

Added GS to floor at drop and used knife on column (I'm not going to add GS to columns)-

I need to take another picture to show the column texture better in the light, oops.

Added little cluster to each side to go with Wall-A when next to one. (mini-mod) -

Great stuff:)

It's nice that the Dwarvenite is so easy to cut isn't it? Like carving into rubber...
