There's three. Dungeon grey was the original KS1, 2 and 3 color.
Didn't KS3 have a different dwarvenite color than KS1 and KS2? It was a lighter grey, I swear.

Ouch. Three "dungeon grey" I wonder what KSV will be?

I do not really know if it matters as I paint my own stuff, but wondering.

I will have to give this a try. I have been using the Pokorny black. It works great, but this might be better. I like that Pokorny black is airbrush friendly. I worry this may be too thick and my not thin well. I have had that problem with some craft paints. I like this color though and the price so I might give it a try. I have not had any problem with paint staying tacky but have had with some brands of varnish.
It's effectively house paint, so if you have any experience with that in your airbrush then you'll have a good basis from which to work.

But now apparently we have two dungeon grey colors. Is the DF base grey a good match for KSIV dungeon grey?

Once I have my stuff I will look.

KS4 has two different colors for battlements and crenelations (sort of a purplish grey) and the rest of the castle (a more neutral mid-tone grey).

Here's a good shot of what I mean:

I picked up a sample container of this colour the other day. It's a near-perfect match. :-)

It's well adhered. I tried to scratch some off and couldn't. Didn't wash the pieces first either.
ditto on scratch test.

the satin finish didn't seem
to be an issue with respect to "shine", which is good news given this will be used as a base coat.

Cool. Hope it adheres the same to Gorgonite as well.
