I think with the spacing issues with KS3 compared to older sets, there's even more need for 1x2 and 1x1 pieces; some large layouts can use them with enough tiles due to the variance in tile footprint.

I've had a number of builds that ended up needing 1x1 or 1x2 pieces, especially when re-creating Descent maps. A number of rooms are odd numbers, like 3x3 or 5x4.

Smaller tiles can be used as raised areas on larger ones, for simple altars, stairways, etc. You can even put them under tiles for ad hoc mineshafts, raised areas, etc. They might also be useful as basing, although the tiles are a little thick. You can already use the 2x2 tiles as bases, say for dungeon dressing.

I have many uses for these. I made the request during the Kickstarter to have some made in the KS1 Dungeons paint scheme and Nate actually responded that they would try. It must have gotten lost in the mix, not surprisingly.

Not everything I use to buid my dungeons is DF or follows the strict 4x4 tile rules. Some pieces are 5x7 for instance. Sure would be nice to drop some small tiles in to fill the gaps. Or how about small elevations? Mosaics too. There are many uses.

If DF produces them, I will buy them. If not, I suppose I'll look into unpainted.

I mean... is that it? The only function these tiles would serve is to have alternate color floor squares to do mosaics or checkerboard or whatever else? Not really seeming very... 'necessary'?

Not sure I see a point here but again, if I started building, I'm sure there is always that one little spot that you just can't get filled in.

No you would not, just use pairs of the 1x2 or 1x1 and the whole room will line up; well. Most patterns are geometric anyway, so it would look good. Maybe I can do a try this weekend, off to Tokyo Disneyland tomorrow. I have not been there isn something like 10 years.

Try to win me over on these... I want to see how they'd be useful?

In the sewer sets I understand, because of the curves and design of the set, you need 1x2 and 1x1 tiles sometimes.

The dungeon tiles are all essentially all 2x2. You'd need 1x2 walls if you introduced 1x1 and 1x2 floors. What would we overall accomplish by increasing the width of the room by 1 instead of 2?

The passages, elevation blocks, etc make sense to me. I can't picture how these would significantly improve builds.

I got a lot of 1x1 and 1x2 pieces in KSIII and I plan to do mosaics for large rooms with them. All my sidewalks are orangish and my sewers are sludgeish so they should look good with my KSI floors.

I think it has nice possibilities.

1x1 and 1x2 for dungeons and caverns???

Pretty much like the title suggests... just wondering if there are any plans for 1x1 and 1x2 dungeon and cavern pieces.

I've thought about cutting some, and I've thought about casting some, but picking up a box of each would be a lot better.

I picked up some extra packs of the sewers that I was thinking of using for dungeons and caverns, but it would be nice to have pieces that match the textures.
