I don't know, every "money shot" we've seen previewed so far features those cool round towers which look to be 8" diameter, plus the new 4" sections to build curtain walls between them. No new square building components yet, just the standard 4x4 City Builder stone elements. Of course, time and more reveals will tell.

I'm thinking that the "base sets" units may be those round towers, plus some amount of curtain wall and enough round and straight battlements to top them, plus unknown stretch goals. Potential addons are more walls to expand your castle (probably packaged separately form the battlements in case you want to go multi-stories high without having a ton extra battlements), gatehouse/barbican with working drawbridge, wizard/observatory tower topper, conical roof tower topper, etc.

That round tower looks easily big enough for a 25mm scale ballista, I wanna see a ballista up there! :twisted:

I also strongly expect we'll see some wicked alleys & intersections, I think Stefan wanted those for KS3 but they just wouldn't fit. It's been "confirmed" that we'll see new Sewer addons. A dock has been mentioned, you can kind of kludge one with existing floors but something purpose built would be nice and leads nicely into DF KS5, the High Seas expansion. :lol:

I'd love to see some new garden/woodlands pieces for parks & courtyards given the lovely but awkward Sandra Garrety resin set disappearing from web stock, but I will try not to hold my breath.

I am speculating a base will be a square keep (maybe 12x12) with add-on gatehouse (maybe 12x4), single round towers / barbican (8") and curtain walls (4×4) in units of four. A large castle set with a keep, gatehouse, 4 towers, 20 curtain wall units that builds a 44x44 castle. Or something like that.

I'm guessing this KS will be: Base Sets (square keep/tower?), Dungeon Add-ons, Cavern Add-ons, City Add-ons, Large Walls, Round Towers, Gatehouse, new minis and some other surprises....
(that's a guess, so I'm probably completely wrong)

I'm probably looking at Base Sets + 1-2 add-on types in KS, 1-2 more add-on types in the Pledge-Manager, and the rest from the DF store at some future date. I'll definitely have to make some tough decisions on where to put my limited budget.

All of these sculpts.... hmm, I hope we get to see all of these. It will depend on how high the Kickstarter goes, of course.

Wish molds were cheaper.

I've been scrying Stefan lately and discovered an Gladiatorial arena in the works! But, please don't tell him otherwise he'll start wearing his helm again!
