But on the other hand, if the stretch goals won't be available in add-ons, then I don't want to give up the chance to get them if I need to get a pledge with access to stretch goals.
Zoroaster, do you have a list of which pieces are unique to RS? It would take me half an hour to figure it out..at least...thank you if you do.

There is actually nothing currently in the Royal Stronghold which is exclusive to that set.

The Hanging Lion Gargoyles are rare, currently only in Royal Stronghold and Sorcerer's Sanctum - but they are in a planned reasonably sized addon (read: not a mega pack) along with other gargoyley stuff and other castle decor. Of course, that is not official until it hits the live Pledge Manager but I would be pretty surprised if it didn't appear.

All of the Stretch Goals and all of the rare decor bits from the Prebuilt pledges are planned and slotted into addons somewhere, hopefully all will make it live. It may be more efficient to collect multiples of some particular pieces you really like via Stretch Goals, but I don't think anyone is going to feel forced to go with Expert Pledges of forced to go with a Prebuilt just to get some exclusive piece.

And I think the overall value of Prebuilts and Stretch-bearing sets is going to end up very very close in the end too.

But there is one from the Count's Castle, right? That CBS stone archway. I would very much like a way to get that piece. :(

For clarity like other people I'd like to see the advanced stone builder set in action. The question isn't whether I want one, the question is if I want more than one...

And it's already mentioned in this thread, but I'll +1 the comments about having no good affordable way to get the crenelation rounded tower transition pieces. Ideally there'll be some repackaging to help that, but to help me through the decision some photos around transitions up to towers would be very helpful. Show with no transition piece, with crenelations, with battlements, into a 3/4 tower, running into the side of a full tower, 1/2 rounds up against walls, etc.

I would really appreciate a list of what pieces have magnets and which pieces have metal plates to help me know how things fit together.

Also, depending on the piece, where is the magnet or the metal piece embedded?

To be clearer, the Modular wall probably has magnets/metal on the bottom half, but what about the full 4 inch walls?

Is it a race for everyone to get their pledges figured out before the PM is up?... :-) there'll be 3-4 weeks that it will be up, and as soon as it's up you'll have all the finalized packs and such to go over.

... or am I missing something here?

I have finally finalised my Pledge, but as indicated by a number of Staff, the PM is going to be changing and adding some Add-ons so I am probably going to have to figure it all out all over again :)
but as jchunick has pointed out I will have several weeks to sort it :)
My issues for clarity are:
Advanced Builder sets and exactly what they can build - esp the number of floors as a Square Tower extension
Crenellation and Battlement Tower transition pieces - I believe the transition of both Crenellations and Battlements to a 6" do not require a transition as the curve is shallow enough to look OK against a straight piece. But I would like to see how the transition pieces look against a 4" Tower for both Crenellations and Battlements.
Roll on the PM and let the fun and games begin anew!!

This is why I put it down once the KS stopped. It's been a great 2 weeks without the stress of DF pledge calculations! :)

In my case, I switched over to figuring out what I would like to be able to build and am waiting for the PM just to pick the bits.

I have not thought much about what I will get. Thinking more of the dollar amount than the actual items.

Too many possible changes and adds to what I know to really think clearly about what I will get.

I just hope we can get at least one of everything painted under $3k. That's my hope
