When I do it, I'll probably have to do another tutorial video... sigh. ;)
Your tutorials are always appreciated. If you don't want to do a video, just write it out in outline format (i.e., dumb it down for us non-artistic types). Step 1. Open the box of Dwarvenite and remove the individual pieces. Step 2. Open your paints....

Ok, maybe not quite that much into detail however if you just wrote down the steps for the red rock paint scheme once you do have the time to delve into it, that would be greatly appreciated.

The bright side for me is I'll hold off on the unpainted set for now. More $$ for when KS V hits the store (yeah right, as if I won't buy something else from the store in the interim. Of course now I'm wondering how a mountain set would look in the alternate paint scheme you did for the DoD pieces (the sandstone style with the olive highlights).

Yay!!!! We love your tutorials! More please!

I would *never* have thought to use shoe polish for paint.

Just wondering of you ever got the mountain set painted in these colors? I have three painted sets but was thinking about buying an unpainted set while they're in stock and trying it in this scheme. Would look great tied in with the resin RoTA pieces.
I've not had time for much painting. Sculpting for KS6 and more boring life baggage has kept me very busy. There are some changes I plan to make in the scheme for the mountain sets. For starters I want to do bands of color in the walls and less defined and more complementary colors in the floors. The picked out dark rocks look unnatural to me now. And I grew up going to places like Arches National Park, so I want it to look more natural. https://www.google.com/search?q=Arches+ ... cuAJRdyFTM:

I want to do some in the red rock scheme I did in caverns, so I might get a few more sets with the KS5 money.

I agree with William; reminds me of an old cowboy movie. :) Very southeast Utah, northern AZ.

Very Utah like colors.
Now if some arches, buttes and fins could be sculpted, you'd be able to copy some real life areas.
Can't wait to see them painted. :)
