Q: I really hope there will be a great catacombs style add on. I love those ossuary wall bits, but want far more than 6 or 8!

A: if we do well enough, they will appear in an add on before the campaign is over.

-----

Q: Can there please please please be a megapack of floor trap spikes?

A: we'll consider it but not guarantees

-----

Q: can we have a 4x8 terrain tray pack that has ledges enough to line the outsides (ex for a river) 1 4x8 = 8x 2”ledges to make both river banks. Or alternately make two packs, one for the terrain trays and the other ledges in decent equal quantities. (Ex: 8 hotdogs 8 buns)

A: there are several Ledges add-ons. We could consider a variation that just had straight ledges

Q: (multiple backers) Can we get an addon of some sort with extra center sections of the Dungeon Bridge, to make longer bridges?

A: It's in consideration. You can also use the KS4 Castle Builder System bridge pieces to extend this new Dungeon Bridge.

-----

Q: For the Double door add-on, how do the different doors in the pack swap out? Do the double doors open or just pop out of the frame?

A: We will show off the full features of the Double Door in photos and video at the beginning of week two. We have a pretty cool system for swapping out doors.

Q: Why is the Bridge Pack so expensive compared to the KS4 bridge packs?

A: The cost of the sets, is determined by the cost of production which is set by the factory. This piece is not just large but it is complex and difficult to mold. It will take a huge mold. This bridge is intended to be compatible with last years bridge but it is much more massive, and the particular shape and size make the molding much more difficult. it is really difficult to determine how much individual pieces cost by comparing them to others, because there are over a dozen factors that go into calculating the costs of production. Even we are sometimes surprised by what the factory tells us that things will cost!

Q: How come "build your own" pledge has a shipping cost and the individual encounters also have a shipping cost?

A: A few reasons. First, the Build Your Own pledge includes a tote bag. Second, it’s not feasible for us within the US to pack and ship orders as different in size and scope for free. We work with an independent warehouse to receive, pack and ship our products, so have to cover part of their expense.

For US shipments, there is not any added cost beyond this.

For non-US shipments, we must charge extra to try to cover the costs of international sea freight, customs and duty charges in the EU, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and China, (we do not over them in other non-US destinations), receiving and forwarders by independent resources in numerous different hubs and then delivery to your door. There is a base cost per order, regardless of the order size, and then there are charges per set, based on quantity, volume and weight -- and our product is heavy. We must be very careful about these charges, since any errors don’t allow us to come back and charge our backers more. We care very much about our worldwide backers, and we do the very best we responsibly can.

Q/A - Add-Ons

Post by JenneyOC » Sun Jun 18, 2017 10:21 pm

Q: How/where do I make my actual add-on set selections?

A: During Kickstarter, you only enter the total dollar amount of your pledge (the cost of your main pledge and all your desired add-on sets). You also choose a specific main (base) pledge. Kickstarter has no tool to capture add-on set selections.

A couple weeks after the Kickstarter, we confirm all your specific add-on set selections (along with your name and shipping address, which we don’t get from Kickstarter) using our online pledge manager — basically actually a giant online order form. At that time, you can even shift your add-on set choices around a bit if you want.

-----

Q: What's the benefit of the $10 reward?

A: You need to pledge at least the $10 level to get addons. You can then add A La Carte encounters or any other addons. The $10 pledge should have been called Build Your Own Doom.

-----

Q: With the the $10 pledge, I pick an area or more and then I get that plus any related free stretch goals?

A: Yes, that is correct.

-----

Q: will there be more *simple* Add-on sets, similar to "Dungeon Floor Add-on Pack".

A: Yes, there are lots of Add-ons planned that range from the ‘Bread and Butter’ pieces all the way up to the ‘specialized super cool’ pieces. They will be staggered in their release though to not over whelm any one day with too many releases.
