Got to love how your build of the Lair of the Lizard King looks like a drawing of the Lair of the Lizard King out of the module!

We know that sounds stupid, but when you realise that's what your seeing you double realise just how Fabulous DF is for this shit :)

Reminds me of ...............
Believe it or not, I didn’t look at any module layouts, I just tried to use up all my pieces and lay it out organically about an hour before the game started. I knew I needed a beach landing, barracks cave, stable cave for the giant lizards, dramatic throne room, etc. I had to cheat with a few mountain pieces because I needed one more room. Glad it turned out to look like a real module!
Certainly did - great job )

Our builds are generally organic, starting off with a centre piece and build cool stuff around it or a general overall concept and do what it takes to actualise it.

Here’s a couple pics of today’s build...the Lair of the Lizard King!
that there is a POWERFUL argument for a huge table!

and for not assuming that the grid will align with the edges of the table - turning the grid 45 degrees makes this build fit on a smaller table - my OCD twitches when i think of laying a battlemat diagonally - i gotta get over it ;)

The lizard kings layout is really nice. In my next cavern build I need to separate rooms more. I tend to put them all together.

Also I built dice towers out of Lego for my players. I was surprised how well they worked. Yes, I play dungeons and dragons...with Lego. That gives me double geek cred.

Here’s a couple photos of the best one.

FYI recently started my turn to DM this year using my first self painted Dwarvenite. Here is a photo of our boss encounter last Sunday. I’m starting small, but I think it went well.
Small but plenty to keep your adventurers busy
We like that build - but we want more pictures :)
And preferably the addition of a warren entrance!!
